Ялина східна Ауреоспіката (Picea orientalis Aureospicata). Батьківщина - Кавказ, північ Азії.

Дуже декоративний сорт східної ялини. Отримав безліч нагород за свою красу. Культивується з 1890 року, але до сих пір не вийшов з моди. Вивели ялину східну Ауреоспіката в Німеччині. Її головна родзинка - двоколірна хвоя. Стара хвоя темно-зелена, а молодий приріст - дуже яскравий, золотистий. Крона широка, трохи розлога, але при цьому нагадує конус.

Ялина східна Ауреоспіката являє собою середньовисоке дерево 10-12 (15-25) м у висоту, в ширину може досягати 4,5-5,5 (6-8) м. Діаметр стовбура досягає 1,5 м. Кора в молодості гладка, світло-коричнева, з віком стає тріщинуватою. Бічні гілки ефектно звисають вниз. Рослина повільнозростающа, річний приріст сягає 15 см у висоту і 5 см в ширину.

Чоловічі квітки червоні, яйцевидно-округлі, жіночі пурпурно-фіолетові, досягають 2-2,5 см в довжину. Квітне у травні. Шишки циліндричної або яйцевидної форми, 5-8 см в довжину і 2-3 см в діаметрі, пурпурно-фіолетові. Вона віддає перевагу світлим місцям для посадки або дуже легкій півтіні, на сонці хвоя більш приваблива. Іноді Ялина Ауреоспіката підмерзає в дуже холодні зими, але навесні відновлюється. Ефектно ялина східна Ауреоспіката виглядає в одиночній посадці, але можна садити групами. У поєднанні з іншими хвойними рослинами виглядає яскраво в весняний час, гарний колірний акцент.
